Well… not in so many words, but we get the picture. Jerry talked with Greg Ellis last night presumably about his contract. Don’t know what was said, but it’s no coincidence that Ellis was awkwardly silent after today’s early practice. For the last few days, he’s been telling reporters how he wants a new deal and he needs to speak to Jerry. Now… Ellis is not talking. I have a feeling Jerry told him to shut it!
In fact, during today’s Jerry press conference, JJ said talks between the two sides shouldn’t be aired in public. Not good for us, but Jerry is right. Never air your dirty laundry in public. No one looks good when that happens.
